Hello Everyone,
Well the weather is nice enough its definitely time for a Bar-B-Que and to
enjoy the view of the bay from my front deck. For those who would like to
help out feel free to show up around noon or contact me directly ahead of
time. The idea is this, we will have a bit of food then dive in to this
months presentation, so far nobody has volunteered so if nobody speaks up i
will be covering kde tricks and features that a lot of people have requested
i do cause they just don't know all the tricks yet.
Lets face it if your converting someone to linux it or just doing a demo of
it, it sure is nice to give them a desktop that looks good, or better yet,
that is drop dead gorgeous! well here is how to deliver just that with kde,
ill also have artwork, over 400 fonts and icons that everyone can download
and customize their desktops with. There will not however be a handout with
this presentation.
Pimp out your desktop to look like mac OSx, XP or be original and make it look
like something completely original, how about graphical remote scp, adding
terminal windows to konqeror, superkaramba... the list goes on.
If you have something you would like to cover and have material ready to do a
presentation get in touch with me. Want someone to cover a topic, let us know
about it.
In terms of the bar-b-que the rules are simple, for those who can, please
bring something, paperplates, drinks, chips, hotdogs, buns or burgers are all
welcome as are monetary donations to cover the costs. Personally i will
provide burgers, Hotdogs and buns for about 15 people. Got questions drop me
