Are you writing to a CD-RW?  If so, you need to "blank" it first (however you
do that with Easy PC Backup).
If using a CD-R, I really don't know what could be wrong.  Make sure you're
using a CD-R without data already on it.
Sorry I can't be more helpful.  (I only use CD-RWs, myself, 'though they do
wear out after a while.)
