Well, first of all... keep seeing this Bariloni guy if that's what you really need to do. But I would take a serious look at him. Remember, Robert, Roberta and I are only seeing him through your eyes, and what we're seeing isn't pretty. Is what he's saying and the advice he's giving you really what you need to hear right now? Take a look at ProSearch, have you taken full advantage of the services there? I seem to recall you saw a job coach and it wasn't that positive an experience. See someone else! Try Jean Smithson-Bell, she's great. Or get recommendations from someone else. Talk to Dwight directly, he's a veritable walking encyclopedia of ideas. Why are you paying $1500 a month for health care?!? Get to a insurance broker ASAP and get some other type of coverage. You can call Nancy Montier (510) 886-7374, she'll be glad to talk to you about more affordable health care. Have you taken an inventory of your life style to see where else you can cut down or cut out? Have you looked at the survival guide in the ProSearch office? Have you talked to a debt counselor? Speaking of counselors, I would suggest a talking to a therapist, counselor, pastor, whoever. Find a place where you can let your hair down and, if you feel like it, wail and beat your chest. Someone you can pray with, if that's your bent. Believe me Bariloni is not the guy for this. Even Dr. Phil at his brutally honest best would be a better choice than this guy. Find a shoulder you can cry on, in these times we all need one! I don't know, are you trying hard enough? Have you read What Color Is Your Parachute and tried everything, and I mean every suggestion, in the book?Have you taken any career tests to find out what you might really be interested in and then explored those fields? Have you looked into Barbara Sher's books (http://www.shersuccessteams.com/) or tried to find a success team following her model in the area? I don't know what's going to work for you. But I do know you have to get help (that's really helpful) and keep moving/trying. Last piece of advice for whatever it's worth: don't bitch to the down-people. Us folks, the ProSearch crowd, people at EDD, we're the down-people. We've heard it all a zillion times about how bad the economy is, the high tech field is going to hell in a hand-basket, etc. We don't need to tell each other these things when we're in "Success" team meetings, there are enough sources telling us. Bitch to the sunny-faced working stiff who doesn't have a care in the world. The rest of us, we're all in the same boat, and we need to do everything possible to bring each other up.
