Registration Policies & Event Information

This letter, along with your online  receipt , will serve as your only
confirmation prior to the conference. Please refer to the following
commonly asked questions for further information:

Hotel & Airline Reservations:
If you have not yet made hotel arrangements, we urge you to do so
immediately.  For all reservations, please use the information at
www.sdexpo.com to make your travel and hotel arrangements or call the SD
Housing Desk at (415) 947-6661 or toll free at (866) 477-5444.

Cancellations, Downgrades & Substitutions:
If you need to cancel, you may do so for a full refund, less a $100.00
service charge until February 13, 2004. Registrants who register prior to
or after the deadline date who do not cancel in writing by the deadline
date are liable and will be charged for the full registration fee. Sorry,
no refunds or letters of credit are available after this date. Please fax
your cancellation request to (415) 947-6020, or mail your request to:

Written requests for a downgraded pass must be received no later than
February 13, 2004, for a full refund on the difference of registration
fees between the value of the original and downgraded pass.  Requests
received after 2/13/2004 will receive a letter of credit for a future
Software Development Conference for the value of the pass downgraded from.
Upgrade pass requests must be submitted in writing and faxed to (415)
947-6020 along with payment information for the difference in value.
Upgraded passes will be charged the difference in registration fees at the
time that the request is submitted; no retroactive reduced registration
fee is permitted.
Substitutions are allowed only with the written permission of the original
registrant. Please mail your substitution request to the above address, or
fax to (415) 947-6020.

Facility Location:
The Santa Clara Convention Center is located at 5001 Great America Parkway
in Santa Clara.  The nearest cross street is Tasman Drive.  For further
directions to the convention center, please contact the facility directly
at (408) 748-7000.

Program Changes:
The CMP Software Development Media Group reserves the right to make
changes in the programs and speakers, or to cancel sessions if enrollment
criteria are not met, or when conditions beyond its control prevail. All
sessions, excluding Tutorials, are filled on a first come, first seated
basis. Arrive early to ensure a seat! Recording devices and cameras, still
or video, are prohibited. Sorry, no one under 18 admitted, including
infants.

Advance Badge Mailing:
In early March, Expo Only badges will be mailed to all registrants who
reside in Ca and to all Conference registrants, regardless of
state or country.  For Expo Only registrants who reside outside of
Ca and for those who register after February 23, 2004, regardless
of pass type, you will need to collect your badge on-site at the event.

Tutorial Notes & Conference Proceedings:
All conference registrants will receive proceedings on-site, in a CD-ROM
format as well as access to the SD Online Library.  Tutorial notes may be
collected at the tutorials session.

instructions to be removed from the mailing list.

make changes in the programs and speakers, or to cancel sessions if
enrollment criteria are not met or when conditions beyond its control
prevail.
