After being inundated during the first week in Decemember with phone calls 
from recruiters and companies, since the beginning of the new year, very 
little has come in.

It's really depressing to think that I'll need to find a job during this first 
quarter.  After that, should I go to school?  Should my wife and I separate so 
I can get a job in another state?  Another country?  Sigh.

I live in Ca, the Bay Area and it's looking pretty dire right now.
