Oooohhh, I see what happened. I just copied the 510 number down at the bottom
of your email and didn't compare it to the number I put down in the address
book. Why would they be different! The VM is something Robert set up? No
wonder he goes on and on - that is for his job search? I was just thinking he
had usurped your cell phone VM and it seemed really bizarre to me. It has
been too long since I have had a boyfriend - when you're not in a
relationship guys seem more and more ogre-like...As Jesse would say, "you
have issues!"
Well, the days already are getting shorter but I can work easily until about
9:30 in the dusk, which is my favorite time for outdoor work due to my
delicate, fair complexion, ha ha! Of course, there are the mosquitoes to deal
with, but a little after their peak out come the fireflies, which are so cool
to watch. Then there is a bit of clean up to get the tools back in the
garage. I have bright lights on my garage and can actually edge the driveway
and do clean up work at night. I used to shovel snow around midnight,
especially in a full moon! I try not to do it too often as the neighbors
already think I am weird anyway. I wish I had huge floodlights so I could
garden at night!!
Hi,
I think I must have been outside cutting the grass/doing yard work when you
called yesterday - I didn't come inside and start dinner until about 10!!
I have re-applied to Paychex, and Wells Fargo (!) my employer of olden days,
who surprisingly enough have a mortgage processing center here. Well, why not,
tons of cheap labor available.
Ran into David today - he got my sturm und drang tale of woe about the ills
of Rochester and its job market, although I guess it's not great many places.
But I am versatile and not that expensive to hire!!
Hi Noelle,
So where will you be living? Do you have an address yet? Go out and charge
that new bed you want so you at least have a place to sleep and Robert can
save $$ shipping the old decrepit one that can go to Goodwill then! Tell
Robert to get rid of all of the old "junk" - most of it is not worth paying
big $$ to ship. I had some hard decisions myself - did I really want to pay
to ship my ancient couch AGAIN? In the end, I paid a lot for the convenience
of having SOMETHING in the place, since I hate to shop so much. But for what
I paid, I could practically have bought brand new furniture. I was thinking
that since you are moving BOTH of your stuff, your share can't be worth more
than $2K. Just let Robert pay the extra amount. It will not be deductible for
you (the 2K worth, at least) since you are reimbursed. Just have your name on
the shipping order for your work's benefit dept.
I have actually been to Michele's house - Ann (Nellis) and I went out there
shortly after the baby was born, so I guess she must be almost three now!!
The house was somewhat empty at the point I saw it - I don't think they had
been there too long. No living room furniture - It reminded me of the house
my high school boyfriend's parents had in Fountain Valley. The one oddity I
remember is that the houses on the street seemed to be from very different -
some tract homes, some custom.
I guess I have not been around Alan when he has had his pot!! He never said
much the couple of times I've seen him.
Can I fill in a recommendation form for the Greece school district from you?
Save time mailing it out...how would you answer for these categories:
excellent, above average, average, below average:
Character, Dependability, Intelligence, Initiative, Imagination, Cooperation,
Personality, Personal Appearance (try to recall the rare times you've seen me
in professional attire, not slob about the house attire!!), Courtesy and
Manners (ha ha ), Loyalty
And do you know any reason I should not be working with children?
Additional comments if any
I can put your address when I know it and phone in case they check up. God, I
hate plodding along looking for work.
No roommate yet - I have been working hard on getting the house into better
condition. It was fairly clean when you were there, but things had slid, ha
ha. Trying to get all the junk out of the spare bedroom.
Other than that, no news. I guess you start your new job in a week. Do you
like the facility the people you will be working with?
Talk to you later!
Hi Noelle,
Just one more day to endure in the East, ha ha ... is Robert jealous? Thought
you might like to see Andy's "kiss off" letter and my reply. BTW, Andy has "
doubts" about 99% of his friendships - it waxes and wanes with his moods.
This is a recurrent theme that I get hit with from time to time, along with
hearing about how he is "done" with certain people and then later on they
crop back up again. Talk about being mercurial. I don't understand this "
differing perspectives" crap. Like I have much in common with a lot of my
friends? Either you care about the person or you don't.

>Hi Tam,
Thank you for the card. That was very thoughtful.
I thought I should get in touch with you and tell you what was on my mind.
This is not a very easy thing to say, but I figure it's better to communicate
than leave things hanging.
For some time I've had some doubts about our friendship. Even last November I
was unsure about whether I should visit you in Rochester; however, I thought
it might be a good test to see if the friendship still had any life. I found
the visit disappointing for a number of reasons.
I don't know that it's worth it to get into specific problems or issues. I
think we both have our own perspectives, and I doubt we could come to much of
a mutual understanding. Suffice to say that we've grown apart.
I hope things are working out for you in Rochester, and I wish you well.
