my flakey wireless card

My wireless card is quite flakey.  I don't think it's static electricity.
I think it's heat or just general failure.  After rebooting my laptop, my
wireless card would not establish connection.

I'll pulled out the card and it quite warm.  I stuck it in and pulled it
out a few times but it would not connect no matter what I did.  (I changed
WEP and channel and reset my WAP.  Nothing worked.)

I'm using my wired card right now.

I'm thinking of buying another PCMCIA (PC Card) wireless card.  I was
going to go with a Orinoco Gold since it has some very nice features.  And
perhaps it won't flake out on me.
