Hi. I saw http://freeroller.net/page/sstirling/20030119 and your mention
of static electricity and your wireless card. This morning, I discovered
my wireless card did not function at all. I tried everything to get it
working. The lights blink, but it can no longer scan the WAP (a Linksys
router). The only thing I can remember is that yesterday when I was
carrying my laptop around, I statically discharged (zapped) the wireless
card sticking outside my laptop. It actually continued to work, but when
I booted it up this morning, it would no longer connected. I thought that
I had only zapped the antennae, not the card itself.
Was this your experience with wireless cards and static electricity?
Thanks!
