> Nothing. Know any cool/fun jobs? Truexchange shut their doors the last day in January. I've been looking for another job, but haven't had that many interviews yet. (Granted, I just came back from a week at Disney World last night... I wonder walking into interviews with a golfer's tan is going to have a negative effect) Sorry to hear about your company, though. If I run by something on MIT's course list, I'll pass it along. I'm half-surprised your company is doing poorly, given the fact it bought two companies. On the other hand, part of the reason I left was that I wasn't convinced there was a sound plan for the classification engine. (Not that I knew a lot about the business direction of the company back then... I don't know, I had my head deep in the sand back then... didn't see the forest from the trees... didn't *know* forests were made up of trees, that sort of thing. The advice Marc gave me before I left, about being aggressive in finding something that interests me and work hard on it, rings true; it's too bad I decided to find that thing somewhere else.) Jonathan's resume showed up at Truexchange, if I remember correctly. It's too bad we didn't move on him; Truexchange could have used a voice of reason. Glad Jen and Debbi found work; sounds like the idea of having verticals fell through. I've also talked to Matthew; glad his search worked out. I wonder if http://www.eDonkey2000.com has a boston office... ;) (I saw his fuzrocks.com site, also. Good stuff; kept me unproductive at work for hours on end.) ;) (BTW, Matt and I shared an office just before I left. Yeah, we got to know each other a little bit... and Matt got to know the monster piles of papers on my desk. ;) ) Say hi to Lionel, Marc, Bob, John, etc. for me. I hope the classification engine doesn't fall through; I know you and Marc and everyone else have put a lot of work into it and it sucks whenever a well-developed product completely gets dumped. :\ Anyhow, it's more http://Monster.com, laundary, and Grand Thief Auto 3 for me! ttyl, George > My company is basically not selling anything, so I suspect we'll > eventually go under any day now (at least, the classification part -- the > other parts may live). > > Noelle and I went to Ca in Jan for vacation. Thanks for forwarding the newsletter; sounds like you've had quite a year. :)
