OK.

Here's what happened.

He thought my name was Jeff and tried looking up my name via
411 (white pages).  This wouldn't have worked aside from the fact that I
have an unlisted number.

Anyway, I patched up the roof last weekend and it didn't leak last night.
However, it's only a short-term solution and John will probably do it
later when he's less busy (probably after Labor Day).
