Howdy, I got a message that the last message I sent was returned but here you are responding to it. Maybe it was only returned from Noelle's box. Anyway, things are going ok here. the weather is great. Hey, you know the old place on Russell where you were living is up for sale. It's been on the market for a while now perhaps you could put a bid on it. Not too subtle of me huh? I just find it hard to keep in touch with you both as much as I would like. The conference went well but the aftermath was brutal. It's amazing how authoritarian anarchists can be. My study group wanted there to be an event where actual anarchist could speak and discuss theory, but lots of people complained that we didn't have anything on practice. I don't know why these folks don't just do their own conference! The Bound Together folks once again had a lot of non-anarchists speaking at their event. Things went quite well too. We made back the money we put up for the space we rented, plus a little bit more, which we're putting away for next year. Hopefully the anarcho-cops don't try to derail our efforts. It seems that any time you do something there is someone waiting to try to shoot you down. This group of self-appointed race police complained that we didn't have anything on anti-racism, which was true, but not for our lack of trying. Two people were asked but had scheduling conflicts and couldn't make it. We ended up giving them(the folks who complained) a spot in the schedule that we at first thought to leave open. But they kept on complaining. They came to our regular study group meeting and spent an hour berating us on our poor race relations. It was horrible. It sort of makes one re-think doing any political work. Since anarchists are such a small portion of the political world it sucks that we can't get along better or at least give each other the benefit of the doubt. Like, I didn't like who the bookfair had to speak but instead of ragging on folks personally I helped organize an alternate event. OK, I guess I've rattled on enough here (and to all my housemates too). Take care, kathryn
