Hey All,

Just wanted to let you know that I made it to L.A. safe and, somewhat,
sound!

After writing from Nashville, I drove to New Orleans where I spent an
evening and half of the following day wandering around and loving it.  I
can't wait to go back for a longer visit.  From New Orleans I drove
straight through to Austin where I stayed for 2 nights with my friend
Michele and her man, Jack.  A lovely visit.  Lots of food, laughs, good
conversation and sweet friendship.  A brutal 14-hour day of driving ensued
bringing me to Willcox, NM.  And, finally, an 8 hour drive to L.A.
Yippee!!

So, here I am.  Staying with my wonderful friends Amy and Chris.  Feeling
a little freaked out.  However, happy to be back and anxious to get the
ball rolling on this new life of mine.

I'll only be here at their place for about a week because (as Michele has
pointed out) the universe is a generous mistress and she has provided
another place for me.  Actually, Kevin called from London to say that the
guy who was subletting his apartment is moving out this weekend and he
offered to let me stay there free of charge for at least 2 months (maybe
longer if he decides to stay in Europe and travel for a while after his
gig is over on March 9).  So, as much as I have appreciated the safe haven
offered and provided by Amy and Chris, I am going to pursue a bit of much
needed solitude and stay at

Kevin's place.  But it's only 3 miles away so they won't really be rid of
me completely!

Well, that about does it for now.  Hope to hear from you all soon.

I was 
thinking about going to D.C.  in jan and  flying to boston 
and going from there sounds easer than trying to fly direct.  got  floor 
space?? I'd like to see your abode.........
