While I agree with what you say, I would point out that Mario Cuomo is a wonderful, generous, and brilliant man who does not always adhere to the conventional wisdom. While he is a fierce Democrat, I actually believe that what he meant to do in that particular exchange is to abate the controversy and fear and assure people that their lives would not be changed when it came to abortion. Of course, I can't speak for him, but that's my bet. Maybe you'll hear parts of your letter on our show. Again, thanks for writing. We appreciate it.
