MikeL -- new email & job search

Hi everyone, sorry for the wide distribution, this is pretty much my
entire address book...

As some of you may already know, Compaq has decided to halt development of
Windows NT on the Digital Alpha platform.  About 80 (yes, eighty) people,
programmers, managers, documenters, etc. have all been laid off from the
old Digital "DECWest" site -- including me.

This means three things:

a)  I have lost my old "http://www.zso.dec.com/~mikel" email address as of today.
    Mail sent there will go into a "black hole".  If you have an address
    list entry for me, please update it my own personal domain
    "http://www.Vintners.Net/~MikeL".  As this is my own domain, it should never have
    to be changed again.

b)  Some of you may recall getting email from me a few months ago, where I
    stated I was looking for a new job on the Seattle side of Lake WA.
    Obviously, I'm now looking very seriously.  I am still placing
    Seattle-side companies higher than eastside companies on my list.  I
    am going to take some time off for myself, and will consider myself
    available for the new position as of mid-November.  Feel free to reply
    to me at this address, and/or forward my resume on to your HR dept.
