I am writing to urge you not to co-sponsor and to oppose S.1070,
legislation sponsored by Sen. Kit Bond (R-MO), which would prohibit OSHA
from issuing an ergonomics standard to protect workers from crippling
injuries and illnesses. This legislation would prevent OSHA from
addressing the biggest job safety problems in the workplace today -
musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) caused by ergonomic hazards.
