So, I read the original message about a week ago and have been thinking
about it since.
The difference between "informing" style vs. "directing" style was explained
by the window example:
Informing: "Gee, it's cold in here."
Directing: "Gee, it's cold in here. Would you please close the window?"
I was realizing that I probably say (obviously, this is just for me): "Brr,
it's cold in here. Maybe you could close the window?" or perhaps "Would it
be too much trouble to close the window?" I think this is sort of an
"in-directing" style.
So, as far as the "J" is concerned, I feel that "structure" (scheduling,
closure, etc.) is important to me, but just to me -- I don't wish to
impose it on other people. (It would probably drive them crazy, anyway.
I am obsessed with planning/time.)
Does this mean that I am in fact an "INFJ", or am I Keirsey misfit? (I'm
actually an INXJ where I'm borderline T/F, according to my test result.)
Thanks.
