I guess 5/22 is the last issue of the semester. But I will respond anyway
to the response to my scathing letter about PLA and like cults.
I am still wondering who bankrolls PLA, since it is across the country and
elsewhere probably.
I got my information on the Moonies from an article by Skye Nelson, a
former CARP member which was published in the SF Examiner about a month or
two ago. UC Berkeley's paper the Daily Can also did an article
about cults on campus, recently.
It is sometimes hard to know what is a cult and what is a religious
movement (like the Branch Davidians or the Mormons in the 1830s)but it's
the job of reporters to find out the facts so we can be better informed
and choose what to believe. So, if next semester you want to investigate
if these Christian groups are cults, it may be an  interesting thing to
do.Did you know that the Washington Times newspaper is owned by Rev. Moon
(who probably has lots of his followers money)?
