I don't have a band here. I play & sing folk music with a group/class. I've picked up mandolin recently. I got an accordion, but didnt quit get the hang of it. I got a conga drum too, and took african and latin percussion class for a while, but then dropped it. Got another banjo, but it didnt take either. Don't play the keys much either. But really liking the mandolin. Wrote some songs in the past year. Going back 4 years, had a band in ma SCROTUM SQUISHERS (renamed LYSOL) and played some open mic's, and the WATERGATE HANDJOBS (played on the radio, at a party), CEREBRAL PAISLEY (played open mic's and at a looney bin for $100) and played drums for blues/rock band FRIENDS (lousy name, music was ok. played open mic a few times). Played drums for GALAXY CHAMBER in SF of course. I think they still play around. Concerts are usually free in mpls, so I go to hundred of them... huge list of bands, rock, cajun, jazz, blues, rockabilly, techno, folk, african, latin, thrash, etc. I seen it all here. yowsa. Of course it's not like the bay area, but during the summer an amazing variety of groups come thru. ciao
