Well, it doesn't really have to go public.  Even if they just
get gobbled up by some bigger company, they'll all retire!

...but then you got to live in the coolest, hippest place in the
world with far less chance of your committing suicide or get splashed
by rainwater, work with the coolest, hippest people (like me!).
Isn't that worth a couple of mil :-)

I joke to Sundar all the time about his joining MSFT -
he's made more money being a MSFT for a year than I have by joining
a startup and hoping it goes public, etc. for 2 years.  In 18
months, MSFT has gone from $45 to $98.  Compare that to, for example,
DCTM's going from $0 to $17 !!!  Despite being impressive, it just
doesn't compare :-(
