memory for my 486

I finally got Linux installed on my 486. However, it's as slow as
molasses. It needs more memory. It looks like the wide kind (it's wider
than the memories on my 386). So, what should I look for if I buy some
memory? How many pins should I look for? Are there any speed
constraints?
