Are you going to use the serial for connecting the 2 comp[uters > together? Well, not exactly. I obtained a palmtop computer (an HP1000CX) and I'd like to connect it to my Windows computer. Once I do this, I can compile things for the palmtop's 8086-based DOS (DOS 6.0) and just transfer them over... Actually, now that I think about it, I won't be able to transfer anyway 'cause I didn't buy the transfer software! I guess this is moot. I guess I'll have to compile the progs on my Windows computer, write to a floppy, bring it over the Linux machine, and download it to my palmtop. Ugh. I guess what I really need is ethernet. I'll look into this. > You can't run the modem and the second serial port at the same > time. Any ideas on the JOve problem? Yeah, sorry, it's on my todo list. I'm just swamped currently. Give me time.
