Yeah, I heard of him. > How are you doing ? I am happily surprised to see that your email still > works ! You're a model of social stability for me ! I'm surprised, too. I'll paste my Dec 2001 solstice message below so you can experience my dull, stable life. (Note my other e-mail address.) > Are you still living with Noelle ? Yep. > Did you grow a beard ? Every few days when I'm too lazy to shave. > Are you a > confirmed hacker ? I've got religion, man. > Did you get your hands fixed ? Nope. Still somewhat fucked up, but a bit better than a few years ago. > Does it still rain in your house ? No, thankfully! > On my side I have been working almost during 4 years from 96 to 2001. > The last year and a half was a really nice job building web sites for a > company full of nice people to work with. Unfortunately the business > wasn't going so well for web agencies and it closed and everybody was > fired. Actually, I got laid off (fired), too, at the end of July. I'm looking for another job, but enjoying working on my programming projects in the meanwhile. > So I spent the year 2002 doing nothing but drinking, going to the few > punk shows and squatt events that we have in our lovely city. Yeah, Grenoble sounds pretty laid back. I remember reading something about Grenoble a few months ago; I think it was about some march against the right-wing National Front idiots. > Ive been trying to get a girlfriend for a few years but not hard enough > I believe since I am still celibate !! > I have a dog now though (a small yellow dog) but I am not into having > sex with her. I'm sure she's thankful that you aren't into that. > Now Im kind of on my way to work again and I must admit that its really > painful. Also Im a bit sick of my city. I can imagine. It would be like living where my parents live (New Hampshire). > You know Spider from the Bay Area ? She's been living here for about 2 > years now. The name sounds really familiar. If I saw her, I'd probably recognize her. > Are you still into punk rock or do you listen to country music (I found > out that these things happen sometimes). I definitely like punk rock, but I hate the cigarette smoke at the shows. That's probably why I (we) don't go to more shows. I may see Sleater-Kinney in a few weeks (OK, so they're barely punk rock). Jello's gunna be here next month doing a spoken word show (finally!). Noelle and I went to a punk spoken word show (Duncan Wilder Johnson) hoping that it would be less smoky; needless to say, Noelle and I both smelled like ashtrays afterwards. But, it was cool anyway. I may be able to go to more events since I don't have a job; working always makes things difficult. > Do you play drums again ? I haven't tried recently, so I don't know if I'd be in pain or not. Unless something changes drastically in my life, I probably won't even try drumming. > I havent been playing for ages and ages but got my amp back and someone > gave me a really shitty bass. I havent touched them yet but hopefully I > will soon. Cool. We've been buying more music (on CD) lately and occassionally I think about drumming, but drumming here would be difficult (space, noise, etc.) even if I did want to dedicate the time to it. > I also turned 30 last year which makes me an old fuck, (still younger > than you though). You young fuck! :-) > ;-) > Did you keep in touch with my guitar hero Sue Lee ? I knew that she dropped out of grad school in Hawaii and, last I heard, she's living with her parents in L.A. (or near L.A.). > Give me some news my friend ! > > Guillaume > > PS: Are your emails encrypted by PGP ? I can if you have a PGP public key I can encrypt to. Do you have a PGP key? > Le mardi, 10 sep 2002, à 16:36 Europe/Paris, robert a écrit :
