Subject: How do I share macros or words that I have created with other
   users?
   Product: DragonDictate for Windows
   Version:
   Description:
How do I share macros or words that I have created with other users?

   Solution:
You can export the vocabulary that you have added words/macros to as
   ddx file. Here's how:
   1) Open Vocabulary Manager and select the vocabulary you wish to
   export.
   2) Go to the Vocabulary menu and select "Export as...".
   3) If you wish to export the vocabulary file outside of your DDWIN...
directory, you need to select where you want it to go. You can do that
by inserting a path statement in front of the file name. Here are some
   examples:
C:\Temp\Mywords.ddx - exports the file to your Temp directory on your
   C-drive.
A:\Mywords.ddx - exports the file to a diskette in your A-drive.
After you have entered this information and made sure it's correct,
select OK. If you don't enter a "path statement" for the ddx file, it
will automatically default to the DDWIN... directory.
Now you have exported your vocabulary. If you want to share this file
with another DragonDictate user you need to do the following:
   4) Make sure that the voice file for the user is the active one.
   5) Open Vocabulary Manager.
   6) Go to the Vocabulary menu and select "Import...".
   7) Insert the path (if any) and name of the file you wish to import.
   Here are some examples:
C:\Temp\Mywords.ddx - imports the file "Mywords.ddx" from your Temp
   directory on your C-drive.
A:\Mywords.ddx - imports the file from a diskette in your A-drive.
(NOTE: Naturally, you can use the "Browse" feature to locate the ddx
file on your system. If the ddx file is located in your DDWIN...
directory, it will appear in the list so you can select it.)
   8) Once all the information is correct, select OK. You might receive a
"Warning" message if the vocabulary already exists on the system.
Select "Yes" to merge the contents of your ddx file with what's
already there. DragonDictate will then add all new words/macros and
preserve everything you already have in that vocabulary.
   9) To permanently save the imported words/macros, you must save the
user (voice file) by going to Voice Menu, Quick Access, Save user.
