RE: veg-boston: vegetarian caterers

Hi Melanie,

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you on this, but it took me a
while to find the info you were looking for. I'd like to recommend
"Cooking Culture, Inc." as a caterer to check out. They catered a
function at Harvard last year that was fully vegetarian and delicious.
The dishes were clearly labeled as to lacto-ovo, lacto, and vegan. They
are not exclusively a vegetarian business, but they showed real
understanding of veg culture at the event I attended.

As you might guess from their name, they specialize in multicultural
events. That means you can expect them to be able to handle unusual or
exotic recipes and spices. Some of the items that stand out on the card
I saved are:

  Brazilian toasted cassava confetti
  Crusty sage-roasted new potatoes
  Orange mint black bean salad
  Sicilian stuffed escarole
  Guacamole w/ roasted garlic
  Sheer Singapore shitake purses

These are all listed on their standard business card, so they should be
able to handle a good ole veg-wedding with ease. Here's the contact
info:

  Cooking Culture, Inc.
  (Global Menus, Local Venues)
  Laurie Rothstein & Jackie Baum
  329 Commonwealth Ave.
  Boston, MA 02115
  617-576-2352 or 617-522-5454

Best wishes
- Charlie
