Speaking of which, I was paging through a book about Scott Nearing and it
said that, besides being a vegetarian, he was a birth-control advocate.
As I recall, he worked for some group in New York that helped women (as
always...) control their fertility and reproduction.

Does anyone know more details about this aspect of Scott Nearing's life?
