Re: ZPG Special Announcement

Believe me, all the possibilities have been considered. We could only hope
for a name which more accurately expressed the complexity of our mission,
and of the issue in general. I think it was felt that the unique meaning,
or idea behind the name -- the inherent connection between population and a
million other issues of importance in our time -- would distinguish us from
other Population groups with more institutional names.

And, in the end, it's whether our members recognize us and our mission that
counts.
