Re: Summary: mounting remote filesystems

In your article <1995http://www.news.cs.indiana.edu/~May14.145128.17469>, you said that
one could easily modify nfsd, mountd, and mount so a non-root user could
mount a remote system upon which they do not have root access. I can see
that nfsd and mountd could be modified. But I can see less clearly how
mount should be or could be modified to work with the new port numbers.

I was wondering: did you actually ever try to do this? If so, could you tell
me approximately what you needed to do to mount to get this working?

Thanks.

Why do you want this page removed?
