I think it would be cool since the reason I started using Linux was that I could install it using UMSDOS (slackware had umsdos installs back then, I don't know if they still do). UMSDOS allows you to have a taste of Linux while not having to repartition or waste a lot of space in a large loop-mounted file (even if it wastes a lot on small files due to limitations of FAT). > > To: Debian Bug Tracking System <http://www.bugs.debian.org/~submit> > > Subject: Bug#64570: Should allow umsdos installs > > From: Cesar Eduardo Barros <http://www.nitnet.com.br/~cesarb> > > Date: Tue, 23 May 2000 21:48:49 -0300 > > Reply-To: Cesar Eduardo Barros <http://www.nitnet.com.br/~cesarb>, 64570@bugs.debian.org > > > > > > Package: boot-floppies > > Version: 2.2.15-pre-joeyh; > > Severity: wishlist > > > > It would be cool to be able to install Debian on umsdos. > > -- Cesar Eduardo Barros http://www.nitnet.com.br/~cesarb http://www.dcc.ufrj.br/~cesarb
